FIFA 14 - BPL Counter Attack Squad Review
http://www.futhead.com/14/squads/7699991/
This is a team that I have built on my main account previously and was a lot of fun to try out. The point of the team is using players with high work-rates and good pace to hit your opponents on the break whilst being solid at the same time.
How to Build this kind of Team:
You can build this sort of team with any players so long as they fit the criteria:
GK - It doesn't matter who is in goal, just choose any keeper that is good
LB/RB - These must have high attacking workrates and medium defensive workrates and at least 85 pace as you want to hit the opponent quickly and provide support and overlapping runs for the wide players.
CB - The CBs must have at least 70 pace as you do not want to be caught out if you lose the ball on the break, they must generally be strong and good at heading and overall, be decent players. Usually they would have a H/M workrate but in this case I have used Kompany because he is just awesome.
LM/RM - These players should be pretty similar to the LB/RB position. i.e. good pace and a H/M workrate and also above 70 passing to feed the striker(s).
Midfield - All of these players must have a H/H workrate and good stamina because they will need to go up and down the pitch, this helps the attack and makes sure your defence is not split straight open.
ST - The striker must have a H/M or H/L workrate and very good pace, I also recommend using a striker with the Tries To Beat Offside Trap trait as it helps them to get on to over the top through balls from the wingers and midfielders.
Other information - Good dribbling is also very useful, if you look at the team the lowest dribbling is 72 on Kompany and Luiz. It also does not matter that much about heading as most of your chances won't come from crosses but it always helps to have someone with decent heading.
The team:
GK: Cech - My (and a lot of other peoples) favourite keeper in the Premier League, good diving, reflexes, handling and positioning.
LB: Clichy - I actually prefer Gibbs but Clichy fits in with the H/M workrates and 88 pace and he is a good lb either way.
RB: Walker - I have only used him twice this year as I love Micah Richards but has been good when I used him and he fits in perfectly. Most people seem to use him as well.
CB: Kompany - Doesn't fit in with the idea of the team but the best CB in the Prem and really solid. Really strong, good heading and alright pace.
CB: Luiz - The best CB that could fit in to this team perfectly and I always use him in my teams anyway. H/M work rate and 77 pace, 80 heading and 79 defending. He also has awesome long shots when it drops to him from corners.
LM: Willian - H/M workrate, 88 pace, 4* skills, 4* weak foot and 88 dribbling. Key player in this squad and gets the green link with Eto'o and Ramires.
RM: Navas - Awesome RM with 91 pace, a H/M work rate and 4* skills. You could go with McGeady if you wanted but I personally prefer Navas.
CDM: Ramires - A H/H workrate and 88 pace, I think he is more suited to CM but does the job well in CDM anyway. Seems to be everywhere on the pitch.
CDM: IF Ramsey - You could use a different CDM other than IF Ramsey but I wanted to try a bit of a different option. Really solid with H/H workrates and 85 passing.
CAM: Rooney - Plays so much better in CAM than in CF or ST as it is much more suited to his stats. H/H workrates and an awesome shot.
ST: Eto'o - Everyone knows how OP Eto'o is and with 91 pace, 86 dribbling and a H/M workrate so my obvious first choice although you could use Suarez.
Team Information:
Chemistry: 100
Cost on PS: 270k
Cost on XBOX: 227k
Attack: 84
Midfield: 83
Defence: 82
Does it play well?
In my opinion this squad plays really well. It is really fun to play with due to the players being really quick and good at dribbling, and a lot have 4* skills. The team also won me a lot of games (Division 3) and the only reason I got rid of it was so I could afford to buy a Bundesliga team. It is obviously really strong on the attack and a lot of players get up the pitch to support you as you would expect, and you may think that this team is poor at defending but it is the complete opposite. Because of the solid defence and H/H workrates in the midfield the defence is never left completely open and the pace of the players allows them to catch up with the other team and get back into position quickly.
I encourage you guys to go out and build this team and it would be interesting to see different variations of it in the replies.

you just built a team... your title is misleading... it says nothing about counter attacking!

Re: FIFA 14 - BPL Counter Attack Squad Review
This is not a review on how to counter attack, this is a squad builder with an explanation about the workrates imo.

Re: FIFA 14 - BPL Counter Attack Squad Review
i dont get the point out of playing counter attacks of that i feel more you build a team and commented it how it work and plays so it is more a squad review than a guide

Explain HOW to counter attack, not what players to counter attack with.

Yeah, this is just a typical sweaty BPL team. Should be under squad review, if anythingFabrYs wrote:Feels like 90% of the teams online. Hyper high pressure+ultra defending+counter attack...

Re: FIFA 14 - BPL Counter Attack Squad Review
its meant to be under squad review! i even put squad in the title! im not saying this is how to counter attack its just a name for the team due to its play-style like if someone built a team with benteke and lukaku and titled it how to be sweaty. its not always the literal meaning. i was just using players that had certain work rates to make a team that is very good on the counter attack and wanted to see other teams that people could make

Add a pic of the squad, formation etc. Just press "edit" then "full editor" and you will get in the same screen as when you first posted the topic.

Try using gyazo to make the pics, it hosts them for you. Then just open the pic in a new tab so you can copy the .PNG link then add it as an image like you normally do. Dont know if somebody else can explain it better tho :$

Way better, looks like a decent squad review A team a lot of players use so could be usefull. I`ll let the others judge it aswell and they`ll let you know.
